Thanks to Joe Biden’s Irish roots, Louth and Mayo can expect a Presidential visit
President-elect Joe Biden’s ancestors came from both County Louth, the small county just north of Dublin, and also from Ballina, County Mayo. As wild and untamed a landscape as it gets. He visited there with Barack Obama in May 2011 and has already declared his intention to return.
In his relocated chart for Ireland, his 12th house planets of the Sun, Venus and Mercury move to his ninth house of learning and travel. Hmm, so maybe we can expect a longer visit than usual then? Or else several visits? A possible “Sure, any excuse to go to Ireland” kinda thing? Who knows. Why not?
When we look at his actual astrocartography map, we see his Neptune line goes right through Dublin and also through Wicklow, Wexford and Waterford. Neptune represents our divine self, that area in life where we either give too much, or find ourselves most fulfilled by giving selflessly to others.

A trine is a powerful flow of unstoppable action and as this Neptune line intersects with an equally strong and flowing Sun line off the north-east coast of Dublin – as the Sun trines his Descendant along Dublin and down through similar lines as his Neptune – Biden will no doubt be absolutely adored and feted when he does come over.
How utterly unlike his predecessor Trump who was, unsurprisingly, rude enough to invite himself to come over during our own Presidential inauguration week some years back. He was politely told to take a hike and duly did.
Biden’s Mercury line then goes right through Mayo and trines his Descendant along with another strong Neptune line which quintiles his Descendant. Lordy me, a lot of chat in Irish pubs so! I mean a friggin’ ton of chat!
And Jupiter conjuncts his Descendant right though all of Ireland. Jupiter represents travel, expansion and abundance, so hey, pretty much all of Ireland works wonderfully for Biden. When I lived in Umbria in Italy, I had Jupiter trining my IC so I immediately had an expanded sense of home, opportunity, travelling and learning, from the second I landed there. Once done with the day job, I was off on a train somewhere. I was never at home!
Expect the unexpected
So can we possibly expect Biden to spend more time in Ireland and see more of the country than his predecessors? Eventually. When all these restrictions change…
Which is political terms is actually really important for Ireland. We are a teeny, weeny island out in the Atlantic, whose strategic position is now more important than ever, due to the ongoing shenanigans of Brexit. Biden’s sincere pledge to uphold the Good Friday Agreement matters, folks. A lot.
And as Uranus conjuncts his IC off the east coast, he will be also seen for the quietly unconventional President I know he will be. Uranus represents the unexpected, so we can expect Biden to come up with unusual solutions to Brexit.
