The last time we had Pluto in Aquarius was between 1778 – 1798 – a time of revolution in so many areas of life!
Pluto will move into Aquarius, ruled by Uranus on 23rd March 2023. It will then ingress back into Capricorn in June 2023 for a final hurrah of a few months before finally moving into Aquarius on 24th January 2024, where it will remain for another 20 years.
The 18th-century version of this movement brought us the French Revolution and the Industrial Revolution, the Enlightenment, the publication of “The Vindication of the Rights of Women” by Mary Wollstonecraft, the ratification of the USA Constitution, and many other major events.
We can expect similar levels of transformation with this huge cosmic shift, which will play out over a long period.
So the next 20 years will be a time of revolutionary technological change, a time where the old way of power will crumble and finally die, and a time where the higher mind of the enlightened collective will pave the way.
Resisting cosmic changes won’t work!
Pluto will move back into Capricorn in June of this year, staying there until 21st Jan 2024 when it finally reverts full time back into Aquarius. So, we can fully expect global figures of authority to try to hold onto their outdated systems of power.
So many people will try desperately to hold onto that which is disintegrating. It will be to their detriment, but that is, in fact, what the last few weeks and months of Pluto in Capricorn will be all about.
We are moving towards a time where being a digital nomad, and choosing places across the world to work from co-working centres will be the norm. As will co-living. It’s already happening, folks.
I see it amongst so many of my clients, as they get to choose where they base themselves in the world and how best to fulfil their purpose! This new way of life is particularly evident on the Algarve, where holistic community living centres are springing up everywhere.
So how will Pluto in Aquarius affect the collective? Pluto is a collective generational planet. Pluto rules not only destruction and decay, but also personal power, fulfillment, and rebirth.
Pluto in Aquarius will hence influence us to shift how we view our place in the world and will force us to re-examine our personal views and mindset.
Aquarius is all about the collective
We will see a shift from “What’s mine is mine” to “What’s best for us all? How can I help you? How can I lighten your load?” How will we rebuild our lives after the restrictions we have experienced with the greatest amount of humanity?
It will be about how to learn to be part of a wider collective, instead of focusing only on our immediate family and friends.
There will be a greater emphasis on social justice and climate and environmental change, and not before time. Aquarian energy is often misunderstood, for in fact it will pursue righteousness and revolution at all costs.
Whilst Pluto is in Aquarius, several planets will then move into Aries, ruled by Mars, in the coming years. Jupiter moves into Aries in 2023, then Saturn moves into Aries in 2025 until 2028, and Neptune moves into Aries from 2025 to 2039.
The clash between the Aries energy of “me and mine” versus the collective Aquarian energy of “all of us” will be fascinating, for who knows how it may play out?
Issues like gender identity and abortion will once again remain at the forefront. As will the ongoing dominance of online media platforms. As will the concept of global currencies.
A new paradigm is on the way.
