Pluto, the planet of death, rebirth, and utter transformation recently went retrograde back into Capricorn on 12th June 2023 where it will remain until 21st January 2024.
This retrograde had an immediate and deeply intense impact personally which was not entirely unexpected. 12th June was my late daughter Ruth’s father, David Seavers birthday. He would have been 64. The elderly mother of a friend crossed the Veil the following morning. Then a client of another beloved friend was murdered sometime the following day.
All this within the first three days of Pluto turning retrograde in Capricorn.
Yes really.
The following week, my last surviving uncle on my fathers side crossed the Veil peacefully in the early hours of 27th June, aged 92. The last of his generation to cross the Veil. Thanks to the family tree which he gave me many years before I ever dreamt of becoming an astrologer, I can trace astrological family patterns going back to 1850, almost 200 years. My great great grandfather was a fellow Gemini, also a sailor, railway manager, and taxidriver, and shared the same date and month of birth with Ruth’s father David.
How about that!!!
The night before I received the news of my uncle’s passing, I had been tracing astrological patterns for the first time between my own father and my late daughter Ruth – who had actually never met – they were both Jupiter trine Neptune – symbolising endless divine creativity. My late father had a deep love of all types of classical music, and classic literature such as Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey, and took up photography in later years.
The very same week of my uncle’s passing, a major scandal broke here in Ireland surrounding undeclared payments to Ireland’s highest paid radio and TV broadcaster, Ryan Tubridy. A fellow quadruple Gemini like myself, Ryan Tubridy commenced his Chiron return the exact week this news broke!
The rumblings of this unheard of scandal will have far reaching consequences as, at the time of writing this blog, Ryan Tubridy has been indefinately suspended and the Director General of RTE (our national public broadcasting service) was suspended and subsequently resigned.
This one ain’t gonna go away either!
This Pluto retrograde period, will hence symbolise a final shedding at the deepest possible level of that which no longer serves you. If you resist, the revisiting of what you absolutely must let go of, will be far more painful than you ever expected, let me assure you.
It is also a time of transforming all your relationships at the deepest level possible.
It is a time of standing up to any abuse of power, fearlessly and courageously.
On a practical level it is the ideal time to ensure all legal arrangements in your life are rock solid. That may mean letting go totally of legal arrangements which no longer serve you, such as finally selling that house which has held you back for so long. Or making sure your will is up to date. These days, our digital will is as important as deciding what you wish to happen to the bricks and mortar you leave behind.
The foundations for that which you wish to achieve in the coming 20 years need to be strong and deep, and the next six months is the absolute time for doing this.
On a deeply personal level, it has involved dealing with senior tax officials in relation to my late daughter’s estate, and chasing the coroner’s office regarding my late daughter’s inquest. My local tax office have been the soul of kindness and efficiency, and have arranged for an in person meeting with me where they are bringing in several other senior tax officials to give me every assistance possible!
How about that! This is of course, also totally in line with Pluto transiting my ninth house of the law!!
