The Spring Equinox, along with its Autumn counterpart, is often an overlooked astrological phenomenon.
While a solstice marks the longest or shortest days of the year, equinoxes mark points of equilibrium in the year when all things are equal and lie in balance. The Spring equinox is a midpoint time when daylight and darkness are equal before – in the northerm hemisphere – brightness floods into our days.
The Spring Equinox is the first Sunday after the last March Full Moon, which this week was in Virgo. A hardworking, practical, earthy Moon then!
With Neptune being conjunct the Sun, Mercury and Jupiter all in Pisces, it may have felt like a slightly overwhelming Equinox for some of you. It may have felt like you were drowning in your own emotions. I know that’s how I felt for sure!
Saturn was also conjunct Venus in Aquarius and Venus and Mars were also both conjunct, also in Aquarius – Fixed Air. Spring is always a time of change and rebirth in astrological terms, but this time there is a depth and thoughtfulness you can access at this special moment in the astrological calendar.
Rebirth and renewal
Think of the Spring Equinox as:
- A time of rebirthing new ideas and of finding new ways to take action.
- A time of feeling a push pull between our emotions and taking action.
- A time of deep intense feeling and overwhelm.
- A time of deepening into our intuition like never before.
- A time to experience all those undercurrents that reveal how we really feel, without blanketing them over, as we so often tend to do.
So, take time this next week or so, to rest, breathe, sleep and reflect. Jupiter Mercury in Pisces can mean our thoughts are swimmingly deep. Let them be so, and prepare at the deepest level to make the most of the brighter days that lie ahead of you!
