With the recent death of Queen Elizabeth II, these last few weeks have been a fascinating time to research the astrology and astrocartography of the British Royal family.
When Harry and Meghan relocated unexpectedly, first to Vancouver Island Canada, then subsequently to Los Angeles, the world was aghast. “They can’t just up and leave!” was the war cry. But they did. A quick look at both their separate natal birth charts, their synastry, their relocated charts and their astrocartography explained pretty much everything.
Prince Harry’s Chiron in the 5th house – a wound around his childhood and playfulness. An aspect he shared with his older brother William. Prince Harry’s natal Sun moves from his eighth house of relationships to the far quieter and more secluded 12th house, where he is content to live a more spiritual life away from the limelight.
In L.A, Harry changes from the more sombre Capricorn Rising with Saturn on his Midheaven to Libra rising, where Venus not only becomes his chart ruler, but also becomes angular on his Ascendant. Following the theme of planetary aspects through the generations, Harry also shares the aspect of being Capricorn rising with an angular Saturn on the MC with his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. Both have Scorpio MC’s.
And Meghan Markle has quite the regal natal birth chart with three planets in Leo in her first house – Sun conjunct Mercury which in turn conjuncts the North Node, all in Leo. She also shares angular Nodes with Harry’s grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth II on the Ascendant and Descendant. Meghan has a stacked third house with Moon Jupiter and Saturn all conjunct the IC, all in the Cardinal Air sign of Libra, which marries perfectly with Harry’s relocated chart where Venus becomes his chart ruler.
Meghan also has her natal Venus in Virgo in the 3rd house. Remember Meghan was born in Los Angeles, hence her astrocartography between Vancouver and LA did not change hugely as they are on similiar lines of longitude.
So belonging to a community and having a sense of belonging is a core theme between Harry and Meghan. Something which is easy to miss without looking at Harry’s relocated chart.
So we can see immediately that home and family are hugely important to Meghan and with Saturn on her IC, (whereas Harry has it on his natal MC) Meghan may have felt more restricted in London than she actually was.
Who knows who is going to be where this Christmas and New Year?! As always when ruminating the charts of the living who are famous, no one really knows what goes on behind closed doors away from the corridors of fame.
