The Venus Pluto conjunction calls you to plumb the depths of your emotions and consider about powerful transformation

Venus has been conjunct Pluto since the 24th of November 2021, and these two planets remain in combustible conjunction mode right through until the 8th January 2022.

Venus is in Cardinal Earth and, when it is in that sign, it exudes a practicality around gotta show and prove my value system kinda thinking. Venus in Capricorn can also manifest as a type of “do as I say, not as I do” attitude. Ahem!

Venus, as we know symbolises love, beauty, seduction, how we love, and who we love. However, Venus also symbolises our finances, truth, and our sense of fairness and justice. Venus is also closely linked to our creativity.

Venus represents much more than we realise

Venus is about far more than how we seduce others or allow ourselves be seduced. A strongly aspected Venus can indicate someone with a heightened sense of fairness and justice.

Someone who is Libra Rising will have Venus as their chart ruler and hence may see the world through the filter of what is right and just and fair.

Someone who is Taurus Rising will have a different flavour to their Venus, as Taurus is Fixed Earth. Hence their filter for the world may be more around wanting a strong sense of stability. You might find them buying a house at a younger age than their peers, for example! They will usually start saving young also, which is probably no bad thing!

Pluto symbolises death and rebirth

Pluto, which was discovered in 1930,  takes 248 years to orbit our natal birth chart. It symbolises death, rebirth, and utter transformation. Where Pluto falls in our natal birth chart is where we die and are reborn literally, several times in our lifetime. Whether we like it or not.

So, Pluto – which symbolises death and rebirth – being conjunct Venus  (which symbolises our value system) throughout the build up to the Christmas and New period is a big deal indeed.

We are being asked to transform our values at the deepest level possible. Pluto sheds light on that which is in the darkest areas of our lives, that which we would prefer remain unseen. But Pluto is not having any of that. Oh no!

As always, Pluto takes no prisoners.

And in addition, we also have Venus going retrograde on the 20th December which you can read more about in my next blog.

In the meantime, take time to consider what part of your value system have you decided to transform at the deepest level?
